Buckets that stay in service: Inspection results of KTK equipment after years of use

Beautiful photos of new attachments are great. But it's much more interesting to look at them after several years of operation in a mine.

Recently, specialists from Kurylys Technika visited our regular customer in West Africa and inspected the previously delivered buckets.

We have been working with this company since 2018. Over this time, we have supplied over 10 buckets for various machines including buckets for Caterpillar 6050 (RH200) and Caterpillar 6040 (RH170) hydraulic excavators, as well as a front-end loader bucket for a CAT 994K loader.

This mine is iron ore mine, one of the most abrasive minerals. It constantly impacts the working surfaces of the bucket and accelerates metal wear. Therefore, not only the quality of the steel but also the effectiveness of the protection are particularly important.

Over 20 years of experience in mining attachments, we've thoroughly studied the specifics of operating equipment in these conditions. Therefore, KTK buckets are equipped with additional wear protection, proprietary liners, and a Hensley (USA) tooth system.

Inspection has shown that these solutions truly work. Despite constant contact with abrasive rock, the equipment maintains its service life and continues to perform its intended tasks even after years of use.

It's especially important to us that our collaboration with this customer is now in its eighth year. During this time, routine deliveries have evolved into a reliable partnership based on trust and a shared understanding of the requirements.

This partnership continues. Recently, KTK manufactured and shipped two new 18-cubic-meter iron ore buckets for the same company, designed for the Caterpillar 6050 (RH200) excavator.
