From Kazakhstan to West Africa: Two More KTK Buckets Commissioned at an Iron Ore Mine

When a customer orders the same buckets for the seventh time, it speaks for itself about its performance.

Kurylys Technika manufactured and shipped two 18-cubic-meter iron ore buckets for the Caterpillar RH200 (6050) super-heavy hydraulic excavator. Buckets were shipped to an iron ore mine in West Africa.

We have been working with this company since 2018. Over this period, we have supplied more than 10 buckets for various machines, including seven for Caterpillar 6050 excavators, three for Caterpillar 6040.

The new buckets will operate in challenging conditions. Iron ore is highly abrasive and wears out equipment quickly. Therefore, lining is just as important as the strength of the structure itself.

The new buckets are equipped with Hensley (USA) GET system, as well as maximum protection and liners manufactured by KTK. This combination helps reduce wear in the most stressed areas and extend the service life of the buckets.

Today, the new equipment is already in operation at the mine, working in iron ore mining.

This new delivery continues a collaboration that has been ongoing for seven years. Over this period, we have thoroughly studied the specifics of the mine and the customer's requirements. This experience helps us create products that are perfectly adapted to real-world operating conditions.

How are the buckets performing after several years of iron ore mining? KTK specialists recently visited the same facility and inspected the previously delivered buckets. Read more in the news article "Buckets That Remain in Service: Inspection Results of KTK Equipment After Years of Operation."
